Jesus was born

So the Story suitcase comes back. This time to tell the story of how Joseph and Mary had to travel to Bethlehem. Were there Jesus was born. The donkey has a slit in its back so Mary can ride.(Yes I know she is on backwards but the kids didn't mind) and Jesus is fastened to a bendy straw were it can be bent up when it is time for his arrival. It has two background scenes one is the town and one is the inn. Again I have a script or you can use your own.

Jesus' birth was annouced

In this lesson we were talking about telling good news. I let the children have my phone as I called them using another phone to tell them some good news. We also played a good news whispering game. To practice telling good news. The way I read the story is by this Good news newspaper. Mrs. Gibbs at the Huntsville time was gracious to give me blank newspaper paper. and I just went from there. It was fun and the kids liked it.

Joseph and his caot of many colors

This is a fun way to tell the story of Joesph. It is a small tub so it is best to have children sit on the floor around the tub. The children really respond well to this way of telling the story. I used the story that was in the book, but like most of the stories it is best to know the story by heart instead of reading from a paper.
